Research Lead

Helen's work focuses on developing innovative technologies and tools for biodiversity and biosecurity, both in New Zealand and internationally. With 20 years of experience in the biosecurity sector, she has led numerous R&D projects aimed at improving species management and monitoring.

Helen has a strong background in project management, successfully leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects for both private and public sector clients. Her expertise lies in translating research into commercial solutions, ensuring that innovative technologies move seamlessly from development to real-world application.

Her current research focuses on advancing automated, real-time surveillance and control technologies, driving progress in biosecurity and conservation efforts.
